Raiders News: Maxx Crosby, and more.

Raider Nation fan favorite Mike Florio still thinks Maxx Crosby gets traded

Raider Nation’s favorite pundit is back at it again. This time he weighs in on why Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby might still get traded.

Mike Florio has really endeared himself with Raiders fans for years. In fact, at some point you must respect his dedication to the bit. There’s just something about him and the way he approaches the Silver and Black. There are many wild fan theories as to why this is. But hey, it makes for interesting conversation if nothing else.

The Crosby fiasco earlier this offseason reverberated so much that it’s still a talking point all these months later. Let’s be honest, until there’s football being played or at minimum, training camp is back, this will continue. Still, he did lay out an interesting tidbit regarding Crosby recently.

Would the Raiders revisit a trade scenario with Maxx Crosby?

“I’m still keeping an eye on that possibility. Teams are looking for pass rushers. It would be ironic if, when they traded him at a time when he wanted out, the trade didn’t work out. So now he’s back and wants to stay, and they may trade him again,” Florio stated via Pro Football Talk this week.

“It could be presented to him at some point. ‘Hey, Maxx, we know you want to stay here, but the Bears are making us an offer that we’re not inclined to refuse.’ I think it would be easier for Maxx Crosby to talk himself into going from the Raiders to the Bears than it was for Jared Verse to talk himself into going from the Rams to the Browns,” Florio added. Well, there it is, folks.

The fact is, if the Raiders aren’t competitive and bound for another top five draft pick, how much longer can you keep selling Maxx Crosby on the vision? In fact, the prospect of another offseason filled with conjecture should have general manager John Spytek concerned. Instead, maybe make the most of a bad situation if the team’s headed for just a handful of wins in 2026.
