If Jim Harbaugh is indeed the next coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, drafting his Michigan quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, would make sense. Just another scenario in which a coach for the Silver and Black gets a reunion with a familiar face.
If reports are true that both owner Mark Davis and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh have “a good relationship,” it’ll certainly play a factor in the Las Vegas Raiders’ future. We know Davis likes to surround himself with people with whom he’s familiar. Let’s face it, when he went outside and took a chance on the “Patriot Way,” it didn’t work out.
As great as nostalgia can feel, going that route won’t help the Las Vegas Raiders, no matter how alluring it might appear on the surface.
Should the Raiders really consider bringing in Jim Harbaugh? It could be another Jon Gruden-type situation where one man controls it all.
No more of this “Patriot Way” garbage. The fans gave it a chance. The players gave it a chance. Mark Davis gave it a chance. Now, it is time to do what is right and take this current regime behind the barn. Pull the plug on this disastrous chapter of Raiders football and give the fan base a reason for optimism going forward.
