Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis is planning something big ahead of Allegiant Stadium’s inauguration, a nice steak dinner.
The new home of the Raiders is slated for completion on July 31st and already has a major concert lined up: Country star Garth Brooks is holding a show in the venue. Given how smoothly the stadium’s construction has gone, Davis is making good on a promise he made to the construction crews.
In a recent article via the Las Vegas Review Journal, John Katsilometes wrote about what Davis is planning to do to fulfill his promise.
“I can tell you, the first thing that I promised to have happen, is I’m going to feed all the workers and a plus-one a steak dinner on the floor of that stadium,” Davis said during a chat for an upcoming episode of PodKats! set to post next Monday. “Now, the amount of people that we have, it may take two or three steak dinners, because I think we’re up to like 12,000 people.
“But I promised them that to them, and I’m going to follow through. We’ve served them a bunch of lunches, and I told them, ‘You get this thing done, you’re getting a steak dinner.'”

Raiders: Dinner For How Many?
Not exactly your typical dinner reservation but it shows you that at heart, Davis is grateful for the crew’s work. Allegiant Stadium will be one of, if not, the most glorious and luxurious NFL stadiums thanks to the tireless effort of the construction crew. Funny enough, Katsilometes mentions how this dinner will be different from what Davis usually prefers, as he’s opting for more “healthy” options these days.
These types of gestures have become a staple of the Raiders organization, as they’ve brought lunch and spent time in the front lines before. Say what you want about Davis and how you personally feel about the relocation, but he’s shown grace and appreciation throughout the construction process.
