8. Tre’ McKitty, Senior, Georgia
Mckitty is a well-rounded athlete who does not seem to be lacking anything physically for the next level, although he is not an eye-popping athlete either. He is a solid blocker and pass catcher. For some reason, he does not look natural as a pure tight end. He seems more like an ‘H’ back, but at six-foot-four, he is a little tall for that role. This all makes it difficult to find much of a comparison. Regardless of position, a creative offensive coordinator could make him look like a Day 3 steal.
Grade: Late fifth round
9. Pro Wells, RS Junior, TCU
Wells is a bit of a mystery. He is a converted basketball player who only started playing football his senior year of high school, and started his college career at the JUCO level. Over the last two seasons with the Horned Frogs, he showed flashes of tremendous potential. He has the perfect body for a tight end and fights for jump balls well. He is definitely a project for whichever team drafts him. If he reaches his full potential, he could maybe be a dollar store version of Antonio Gates.
Grade: Late day three
10. Nick Eubanks, RS Senior, Michigan
His frame gives him the potential to be a mismatch threat in the NFL. However, we have not seen promising production in college. Eubanks could have a long career averaging like 25 catches a year. It is also just as likely that he is out of the league in three years. The Raiders could consider investing a Day 3 pick on him.
Grade: Seventh round
