NFL News: Ndamukong Suh Has Been In Contact With Raiders Players

The Las Vegas Raiders still have a need within their interior defensive line. As of right now, their depth is mostly made up of run stuffers. There’s nothing wrong with that but they’re lacking a pass rush inside, Ndamukong Suh could fill the void, and apparently, he’s been in contact with a couple of Raiders players.

Suh has been linked to the Raiders all offseason. Whether it was free-agent rankings, rumors, or hearsay, the two have been connected. Once it became obvious that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were moving on from Suh, things really started heating up. It should be noted though that nothing official has surfaced from the Raiders.

Ndamukong Suh to the Raiders?

Speaking on ESPN’s NFL Live, Suh was posed with the possibility of linking up with the Raiders by Mina Kimes due to their obvious need. The team can now afford him and, with the talent at edge rusher with Maxx Crosby and Chandler, the move would make sense.

Suh has made it clear he wants to keep playing and stated that he indeed has been in contact with Crosby and Jones. In addition, he “likes it” says Suh. He went on to further elaborate on the matter.

“To be honest with you, [Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones] I was exchanging messages with them the other day. It’s an interesting opportunity for sure, we’ll see where it kind of ends up.”

This situation will be worth monitoring with training camp quickly approaching. Due to his ability to get to opposing quarterbacks, Suh and the Raiders are a match made in heaven. Jones and Crosby are the most valuable players on the Raiders’ defense but lacking pressure from the middle could end up being an issue if not addressed. Raiders fans right now are likely thanking Kimes for pitching the Silver and Black to Suh.
