Davante Adams Isn’t Worried About Raiders Playoff Scenarios; Stay “In The Moment”

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams isn’t worried about playoff scenarios; for now, the team has to stick to their “formula” and take it one game at a time.

One look at social media, and you’ll find tons of coverage on potential storylines where the Silver and Black clinch a postseason run. It would be quite the turnaround, the stuff of movies. Imagine it: just a few weeks ago, the Raiders were in the news for all the wrong reasons. Fast forward to now, and the team has done a 180.

Raiders WR Davante Adams knows best…

As far as Week 17 goes, it’s easy for everyone involved to get lost in the hype. That rings true for the players as well. However, Adams has been around for a minute—he knows you have to stay level-headed. When asked about all the recent playoff talk, Adams was forthright in his expectations.

“You hear about it, but I don’t really get too focused on that. Especially when it’s a situation where we most likely have to win all the games. You can’t get too focused on all that other stuff because you start worrying about what other people are doing.”

It’s not rocket science, folks. You have to take care of your own business before you worry about what the rest of the league is doing or saying. For the Raiders, if they win out and close out the season in winning fashion, the playoffs are a possibility. Yes, they might need help, in particular, from the Kansas City Chiefs’ final two opponents.

Again, though, Davante Adams reemphasized the need to maintain focus amid all of the noise.

“If you win a game and it’s the last game of the year, and then you want to watch and see if a team beats a team to help you out, that’s one thing. But I think just being focused and in the moment is what got us to win our last two. So, we just got to stick to that formula.”

You heard it, guys. One game at a time, as far as Adams is concerned.
