Raiders News: Kolton Miller, and more.

Raiders offensive stalwart Kolton Miller gives his notable nod of approval

Always the consummate professional, Las Vegas Raiders offensive tackle Kolton Miller expressed sincere optimism with the slate of moves made by his team this offseason.

Raiders fans don’t need any reminders regarding their team’s offensive line. Simply put, it was terrible. Miss me with all of the jargon and “numbers” or Pro Football Focus “stats,” the unit just wasn’t any good. Ask last year’s prized rookie, running back Ashton Jeanty, just how bad the group performed. New head coach Klint Kubiak didn’t stand on his laurels as he cleaned house, bringing in new offensive line coach Rick Dennison.

So, what does Miller think of all this?

“I love it,” said Miller this week during OTAs for the Raiders. He went on to mention new starting center Tyler Linderbaum in particular, “Tyler has been great. He just gelled right in. Great guy, love working with him. And we have our rookies, and everyone’s working really hard and getting the most out of what we can for OTAs.”

Overall, the offensive line saw significant movement this offseason. Linderbaum drew all the headlines which were deserved, he was the most prized free agent available. The fact that the Silver and Black landed him gave them an instant upgrade that’ll benefit everyone; from Jeanty to rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

The team also picked up Spencer Burford. The former San Francisco 49er will provide a steady interior presence due to his familiarity with Kubiak’s system, experience, and let’s face it, the position group left a lot to be desired after last season.

The more intriguing move done was drafting Trey Zuhn. While he’s seeing playing time at right tackle at OTAs, he could very well end up being a long-term cornerstone in the interior. Overall, it’s a positive picture which combined with the upgrades at the coaching level will mean a much better performance in 2026.
