Maxx Crosby is itching to get back on the field for the Las Vegas Raiders and as far as the failed trade, he insists that it’s “water under the bridge.” That’s fine, it doesn’t mean people will stop talking about it.
With offseason activities in full motion, Crosby is doing his best to stay active with the team as he nurses himself back to health. While addressing the media this week, Crosby was obviously asked about the off-season’s biggest headline involving himself, the Raiders, and of course, the Baltimore Ravens.
In case you missed it, the Ravens had agreed to trade for Crosby and in exchange, the Raiders were going to receive a pair of first-round picks. The additional draft capital would’ve helped speed up the rebuild under first-year head coach Klint Kubiak.
The Raiders and Maxx Crosby are stuck together…
Instead, the deal fell through. While we may not ever know the true reason for it, there are multiple theories as to why the Ravens got cold feet. Regardless, it happened and Crosby is still wearing the Silver and Black. Addressing the matter, Crosby was quite adamant that it’s all in the past now.
“I don’t really want to talk about that, to be honest. It’s water under the bridge,” Crosby stated. “It’s a long time ago. I’m here, and I want to be here, and I’m excited to be here, and I’ve got a lot of work to do. It’s water under the bridge.” Well there you have it, folks. All things being fair, Crosby’s surely looking forward to getting training camp going, followed by the season. Still, as far as the media goes, this subject isn’t going away.
The Myles Garrett trade has also renewed the conversation in terms of teams maybe trying to match what the Los Angeles Rams have done. Will Maxx Crosby be the next to go? For now, he’s a Raider, and he’s not worried about anything else.
