Ziegler and McDaniels deserve their fair share of credit for the strong start to the preseason. But based on the current betting lines, perhaps those two seats are warmer than anyone anticipates.
The Las Vegas Raiders have been on a tear to start the 2023 NFL Preseason. The team secured a 34-7 victory last weekend vs. the 49ers, an outcome that was never in question. Josh McDaniels and Co. followed it up with another 34-point outburst in Week 2 vs. the Rams. Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd is starting to buy in.

The Las Vegas Raiders offense boasted a solid stint in Year 1 of the Josh McDaniels era. The unit ranked 12th in scoring and 11th in yards. After an offseason of significant upheaval on that side of the ball, it will be interesting to see what the group looks like in McDaniels’ second season. It all begs the question: Will it be better? Or worse?
